Students for Sensible Drug Policy

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international grassroots network of students who are concerned about the impact drug abuse has on our communities, but who also know that the War on Drugs is failing our generation and our society.

SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future, while fighting back against counterproductive Drug War policies, particularly those that directly harm students and youth.

The Williams chapter was revived in the Fall of 2009 and has been active in screening documentaries like The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, holding roundtable discussions about national drug policy, hosting live music such as the sick Rubblebucket concert, and just being a generally chill presence on campus.

The group currently meets Wednesdays at 10:00 pm upstairs in Paresky.

Contact David Kruger at dmk1@williams.edu to get involved. We welcome everyone, whether you are an experienced drug policy reform advocate or are just curious as to what we're about- stop by and say hi! We love new faces, new perspectives and new ideas.
