Line 1: Line 1:
Students for Social Justice is a group dedicated to envisioning and putting into practice a better world.  We do this through informational, diplomacy and fundraising campaigns and events.  Our annual events include: Hunger Banquet, Alternative Gift Fair, Valentine's Day Fair trade Chocolate Sale. There is no set agenda for the issues we choose to focus on in any given year.  Rather, the focus of the group is guided by the interests of the students who attend our meetings.  In the past we have dealt with hunger, poverty, war, economic and trade justice on both the local and national levels.  There are no "officers" or hierarchy in our group. Meetings are run horizontally.  They typically start off with introductions and a "whip"--a question that everyone answers--and a "rabble rouser".  They're fun.  We're fun.
