Students for Social Justice is a group dedicated to envisioning and putting into practice a better world. We do this through informational, diplomacy and fundraising campaigns and events.  Our annual events include: Hunger Banquet, Alternative Gift Fair, Valentine's Day Fair trade Chocolate Sale. The focus of the group is guided by the interests of the students who attend our meetings.  In the past we have dealt with hunger, poverty, war, economic and trade justice on both the local, national and international levels.  There are no "officers" or hierarchy in our group. Meetings are run horizontally.  They typically start off with introductions and a "whip"--a question that everyone answers--and a "rabble rouser".  They're fun.  We're fun.

Students for Social Justice is a group dedicated to envisioning and implementing social justice at Williams, in the Berkshires, in America and in the world. We do this by raising awareness of relevant issues on campus through events such as film screenings and discussions with faculty, and by taking more direct forms of action such as attending protests and organizing fundraisers, including the annual Alternative Gift Fair. The specific topics we address vary according to the interests and passions of the group.
