Yale University is an institution of higher learning in New Haven, CT, which many current students at Williams applied to but did not get into.

College Bowl

Yale is a traditional regional rival of the Williams College Bowl team. Their apex in recent years was in 2003-2004, when grad students Mike Wehrman, Peter Austin, and David Isaacson teamed with undergrads Robert Beard and Willie Leight to form a program that was dominant in the Northeast, able to regularly field two of the top three teams at any tournament, and among the top five in the country. By 2005, all but Wehrman had left, but, despite having inferior overall stats in comparison to teams like Harvard, the Wehrman-led Yale team managed to win NAQT Regionals and become the top-ranked Northeast team at Nationals, in addition to nearly topping Harvard at ACF Regionals.
