    Doused by combination of chemicals, when lightning bolt struck cabinet in police lab.

  2. The Hulk--
    Caught in radiation produced by bomb test.

  3. Susan Storm--
    Pelted with gamma rays during test rocket flight.

  4. Daredevil--
    Struck in eyes with radioactive isotope thrown from a truck crash.

  5. Iron Man--
    Tony Stark constructed the Iron Man casing to save himself from a fatal heart condition.

As opposed to the mere reception of powers, please explain how each of the following CAME TO BE A CRIMEFIGHTER.

  1. Spider-Man---
    Refused to detain a robber, who later killed his uncle. Realizing that he could have prevented his uncle's murder by acting earlier made him vow to stop all crime.

  2. Robin---
    As boy acrobat Dick Grayson, his parents were killed by gangsters. Grayson was taken in by Batman, and raised as his assistant.
