NIELSEN RATINGS
- Seven shows accounted for the top Nielsen ratings for the seasons between 1969/70 to 1979/80, inclusive. Name them.
"Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In"; "Marcus Welby, M.D."; "All in the Family" (5); "Happy Days"; "Laverne & Shirley" (2); "60 Minutes." (That's just six, but hey, who's counting?)

A FEW LAST ITEMS
Good shows generate good spinoffs, usually. Two shows, especially strong in the 1970s, generated many. Here's your chance to show just how much TV you watch. For each show, give the spin-off shows and their connections to the original.
- "All in the Family":
Maude (Edith's cousin on episodes designed to launch the series); Good Times (Maude's maid; a spinoff of a spinoff); The Jeffersons (the Bunkers' former next-door neighbors); Gloria (Archie and Edith's daughter, all grown up and without any ratings); Archie Bunker's Place..... sort of.
- "Happy Days":
Laverne & Shirley (two crazy girls in an episode designed to launch the series); Mork and Mindy (a crazy alien in an episode designed to launch the series); Joanie Loves Chachi (two characters staggering, "AfterMASH" style, well past the show's sell-by date); Interestingly, "Happy Days" was itself a spinoff of a specific "Love American Style" episode.
