A good 1 1/2 hours away from [[Williams College]], great for those traveling anywhere in the area you can get to by train, particularly [[New York]]. Wassaic is the last New York Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) commuter rail station on the Metro-North Harlem Line. Trains on the Harlem line stop at a number of points before arriving at New York's Grand Central Station, including Dover Plains, Brewster, and White Plains. About half the price of the Amtrak [[Albany Train Station]], but nearly double the driving time spent from [[Williamstown]]. The trip from Wassaic to New York should take approximately two hours and ten minutes.
