If I weren't me, I'd doubt my sudden ability to peg the exact date of the first deviation. Yet I can! I randomly stumbled on an email to Deviants from Sarah! Croft '04 inviting people to star in her murder mystery during early spring semester, 2003, in which she happens to mention it:
