A semi-professional symphony orchestra that typically performs four times a year in Chapin Hall. Ronald Fledman is the conductor, and is additionally responsible for choosing the group's fairly adventuresome repertoire. Students can participate pending a yearly competitive audition. However, there is somewhat of a glass ceiling as local professionals fill most of the principal desks.

The official drink of BSO parties is the Whisky Sour.
