Talk:Restaurants
This is the discussion page for "Restaurants". This page is where editors and readers discuss what content should and should not be in the article, and respond to others' questions and comments. Unlike articles' content pages, editors should only add material and respond to others' postings, and never make deletions. This page is intended to record the history of any debate, as well as work towards resolving it.
All commenters here should take credit for their words. When you make a change, suffix your posting with --~~~~ This will automatically record your username and the time of posting. Doing this helps seperate comments, and is consistent with Wikipedia guidelines.
Editing and formatting
Ok, can we follow some sort of format here. I propose this one:
Name of Restaraunt
Review.................... .......................... .......................... .......................... .......................... - Person who wrote review (if you want)
Review 2................. ......................... .......................... .......................... .......................... - Person who wrote review (if you want)
If you like this, then try - Restaraunt B, Restaraunt C.
Address. Phone Number.
If I get a go ahead from a few people, I won't mind editing them myself to fit in the format. Or add some changes to this if you feel like it - Rahul
Even though the page currently spills into a dialog between reviewers now, I think it would be best to fight this trend rather than institutionalize it. Willipedia talk pages are for dialogue, content pages should be synthesized consensuses. If we just make this page an ever-growing, unsynthesized list of reviews, it will balloon to a length and style that will make its information hard to extract. Instead, Rahul, go ahead and rewrite what's here in the way you think concisely represents what's out there. Don't worry about keeping writers' words sounding like themselves.--Jonathan 17:04, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
