Wal-Mart
"If they don't have it at Wal-Mart, you don't need it."
It's not a Wal-Mart Supercenter, but the neighborhood Wal-Mart, located along Route 8 in North Adams, has most necesseties: toiletries, cheap furniture, electronics, clothes, snacks, cereal, and school supplies. Be warned, though: they ALWAYS run out of notebooks the first week of the semester, probably because they sell 70 sheet spiral bounds for about 30 cents. (They have been on sale for as low as 10 cents each.) Call in advance if that's what you're going for. Also, Wal-Mart is a good source of free boxes at the end of the year. Just give them a ring and ask if they have any boxes, or if they could horde them for a couple days for you.
To get to Wal-Mart, go west on Route 2 towards North Adams, then turn right at Route 8. Go a few miles to a traffic light where you will see Wal-Mart on the left. Go to Wal-Mart.
