Want to be a WCFM DJ? This Free University course will teach you
everything you need and want to know about the radio station, and finish
nearly all the requirements for being a DJ. An individual, hands-on
experience on all our equipment is guaranteed, and short informal radio
shows will be conducted by each student. No books or materials are
necessary for the course, but a detailed .pdf read by all present DJ's
will be provided. At the end of a course, a ridiculously easy test that
shouldn't take more than 15 minutes will be handed out...after its
completion all that is necessary is to watch a DJ perform his or her
show; this can be done between classes. You will then be free to do a
one hour weekly filled with nearly any music or opinions you want. Each
~1hr class will be on Wednesdays at 3PM.
It is also possible to work for the WCFM board before finishing DJ
training. Elections (which will be on the daily announcements) will
start early in the semester. No experience required, newcomers welcomed!
