Chapin Hall is the largest performance space of the [[music]] department and the perennial rehearsal/performance venue of [[Symphonic Winds]], [[Berkshire Symphony]], [[Student Symphony]], the [[Jazz Ensemble]], and various other musical groups. The space has hosted speakers including [[Thomas Friedman]], [[Jared Diamond]], and others. It is frequently ascended on [[Mountain Day]] under [[WOC]] auspices, one of the few occasions when building may be scaled and [[roof]]ed in daylight with official sanction.
