Thompson 126 is a great single, with a distinctive L-shape. Though it is not the default furniture configuration, savvy decorators will move the bed along the far wall in the 'tail' of the L, place the bureau at the head of the bed, the bookshelf towards the middle, and the desk by the window at the foot of the bed. This results in an enormous amount of space in the main part of the room, enough for a coffee table and a couch.
