SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future, while fighting back against counterproductive Drug War policies, particularly those that directly harm students and youth.
The Williams chapter was revived in the Fall of 2009 and has been active in screening documentaries like The Union: The Business Behind Getting High and Reefer Madness; , holding roundtable discussions about national drug policy; , hosting live music such as the sick Rubblebucket concert; , and just being a generally chill presence on campus.
Rumor has it the The group currently meets once a month Wednesdays at The Forge. They have also been known to throw insane pizza parties10:00 pm upstairs in Paresky.
