Talk:Vending machines

This is the discussion page for "Vending machines". This page is where editors and readers discuss what content should and should not be in the article, and respond to others' questions and comments. Unlike articles' content pages, editors should only add material and respond to others' postings, and never make deletions. This page is intended to record the history of any debate, as well as work towards resolving it.

All commenters here should take credit for their words. When you make a change, suffix your posting with --~~~~ This will automatically record your username and the time of posting. Doing this helps seperate comments, and is consistent with Wikipedia guidelines.

Someone just created a "Campus Drink Machines" page by duplicating this one. While his/her methods are bad, the idea might be a good one. Any enthusiasm for change? Or will Midwestern sensibilities carry the day?

"Killer Coke"

I have removed a paragraph stating that Coke has ordered hits on union organizers in Columbia, citing as a source. Primarily, I don't believe this is relevant at all to this article. Secondly, I am not overwhelmed by this site's apparant credibility, as it seems quite across-the-board anti-corporate. If the paragraph were to be restored, I'd offer the below as a substitute:

The company is being boycotted by the Green Party for allegedly hiring paramilitaries in Columbia to assassinate union organizers in its bottling plants.[1]

I'd also suggest that it be placed in the "Coke Machines" section, and not prefacing the whole article.--05jl 23:58, 4 March 2006 (EST)
