The Newman Room is open to students 24 hrs. Just swipe your card (after 6pm) to enter or walk in via the door facing Stetson. Great place to study, hang out, grab a late night snack, cook, vegetate, or take a quiet moment to pray in the smaller chapel, (though not necessarily in that order).

Controversies: Also known as the Newman Catholic Club, this group has been associated with fanaticism, exclusivity, and a general unwillingness to accept new ideas. Those who don't conform with its reactionary mentality are not accepted.  During 2007-2009, the group was associated with a general decline in fellowship and respectability. Other controversies include use of the Newman Room Space, conflicts over kitchen use/responsibilities, and unwarranted use of college resources.
