'''Ritmo Latino''' is the student-led latin dance group on campus. It is widely known for dancing Rueda de Casino, a type of salsa traditionally danced in a circle. Ritmo Latino was founded during the 2006-2007 school year. Originally, Ritmo was more traditional, focusing on the Latin dances of Rumba Cubana and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomba Bomba]. However, today Ritmo strives to evolve and attempts to modernize other traditional Latin styles such as [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merengue_%28dance%29 Merengue], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cumbia Cumbia], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachata_%28dance%29 Bachata], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salsa_%28dance%29 Salsa], and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joropo Joropo]. For their Spring 2012 show, Ritmo continued to explore new styles of dance by incorporating [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samba Samba], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambada Lambada] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kizomba Kizomba] piece. Through dance practices and preparations for shows, Ritmo provides a fun and diverse energetic community offering support and guidance for members and non-members. Also, throughout the year Ritmo holds lessons for anyone in the community to come and learn their fun dances and latin culture.
