Forest Garden
The Forest Garden is between Kellogg House and Stetson Hall. The Forest Garden was maintained by the Forest Garden group from 1998 to 2006. From 2006 to 2010 the Forest Garden was abandoned due to the looming construction of the Stetson-Sawyer project. The Sustainable Growers revived the garden in 2010 due to the postponement of construction. There are many plants including basil, cilantro, thyme, sage, oregano, parsley, rosemary, lavender, bean, watermelon, buckwheat, lemon balm, spearmint, and peppermint.
The Forest Garden had to be abandoned in spring 2011 with the renewed construction of the Steston-Sawyer project. Some plants (rhubarb, black raspberries, currants, sage) were successfully transplanted to the Parsons Garden, managed by the Williams Sustainable Growers (WSG).
